About this grant

This prize recognizes the best graduate student paper on Korea and/or Japan topics presented at the 2027 AAS Annual Conference. It supports emerging scholarship with potential for publication and offers a $400 award plus up to $600 travel funding to attend the 2028 conference where the winner is honored.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are graduate students registered in a doctoral program at the time of paper presentation at the 2027 AAS Annual Conference. Applicants must have presented a paper on Korea and/or Japan topics.
