This program funds California local jurisdictions to promote economic justice by supporting cannabis equity applicants and licensees. It provides technical support, regulatory compliance assistance, and capital access to reduce barriers to entry into the legal cannabis market, helping to eliminate the illicit market and foster equity in the industry.
Eligible applicants are California local jurisdictions such as cities, counties, or city and counties that have adopted or intend to develop cannabis equity programs. Only public agencies may apply.
