This funding opportunity supports California-based nursing education programs that train Registered Nurse trainees to work in medically underserved areas. Funded activities include recruitment of trainees committed to underserved practice, counseling and placement programs to encourage practice in these areas, and providing preceptorship experiences to enhance graduates' readiness to serve communities with unmet healthcare needs.
Eligible applicants include businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies that provide graduate medical education training in California. Nursing programs must be located in California.
