This program provides funding to eligible California local governments and delegated housing trust funds for a wide range of affordable housing activities. Supported projects include multifamily rental housing, accessory dwelling units, homeownership assistance, and services for persons experiencing homelessness. Funds can be used for development, acquisition, rehabilitation, operating subsidies, and capital reserves. Applicants must follow Housing First practices and address local unmet housing needs.
Eligible applicants are public agencies including Entitlement and Non-Entitlement Local Governments and Local or Regional Housing Trust Funds delegated by local governments in California. Applicants must comply with program guidelines and Housing First practices.
