This award funds academically led translational projects targeting a single high-risk development step to generate critical data that de-risks new medicines, medical devices, diagnostics, or other medical products. Eligible projects include therapeutic discovery, prototype testing, biomarker validation, and advanced therapeutics. Applicants must be based at MRC-eligible UK research organisations. International researchers may apply as co-leads with UK partners. Funding ranges from £50,000 to £300,000.
