This grant supports delivery providers to design and install Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) on school sites to reduce surface water flood risk and ease local drainage strain. Funding covers up to 50% of project costs for schemes ranging from small downpipe planters to large multi-feature installations including detention basins and raingardens. Applicants must manage both design and construction, meet KPIs, and provide educational sessions on SuDS features. Projects must complete within 3 years and exclude schools scheduled for rebuilding.
Eligible applicants include public sector, non-profit, private sector, and local authorities in England. Applicants must manage both design and construction of SuDS projects and commit to match funding at least 50% of total costs.
