This grant funds research to develop novel data-intensive approaches for capturing engagement data from unticketed cultural, heritage, and sporting events and locations across the UK. Projects must produce a deployable tool that measures both attendance and participation in at least one DCMS sector. Research should address challenges identified in prior pilots, improve model accuracy, and deliver operational solutions usable without specialist support. Interdisciplinary teams with diverse expertise are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be based at UK research organisations eligible for AHRC funding. The project lead and co-leads must be employed by eligible organisations during the project.
