This grant supports establishing a national coordination network to advance quantum networking and communications as part of the UK National Quantum Strategy Mission 2. The network will connect researchers, industry, policymakers, and network operators to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and accelerate progress towards secure, scalable quantum communications and the quantum internet. Projects can receive up to £630,937 and must start by May 2027.
Applicants must be based at UK research organisations eligible for EPSRC funding. Eligible applicants include public sector, non-profit, and private sector organisations. International co-leads based in Norway are not allowed, but international collaborators can participate as partners.
