This program appoints TWAS Fellows and Young Affiliates/Alumni as Research Professors to visit institutions in Least Developed Countries for 2-4 weeks. It funds travel and honoraria to support research collaboration, advanced training, and capacity building. Host institutions cover local expenses. Appointees are expected to deliver lectures, assist research activities, and submit reports post-visit.
Only TWAS Fellows and TWAS Young Affiliates/Alumni are eligible for appointment. Requests must be submitted by research groups or scientific institutions located in Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
