This grant funds innovation actions to develop and test advanced seamless travel and border crossing and visa procedures at EU external borders. Projects should focus on accessibility for all travelers, minimizing bias, and integrating cutting-edge technologies like automated border control gates, digital travel credentials, and satellite data. Solutions must be adaptable across all European border control points, improving security, user experience, and operational efficiency while protecting fundamental rights.
Applicants must include at least two Border or Coast Guard Authorities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries. Entities controlled by China are ineligible. Projects using satellite data must utilize Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS. Eligibility follows Horizon Europe general annexes
