This funding supports projects focused on innovative wave and tidal energy systems that can operate reliably in harsh ocean environments. Funded activities include development and demonstration of next-generation devices, sustainable materials, advanced mooring and power transmission systems, and solutions to reduce costs and environmental impacts. Projects should align with Strategic Energy Technology Plan priorities and aim to bring ocean energy technologies to market.
Eligible applicants must comply with Horizon Europe general conditions, including page limits, eligible countries, and financial capacity. Projects must use Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS data if applicable. Financial support to third parties is allowed with a maximum grant of EUR 800,000 per third
