This grant funds projects focused on advancing Direct Air Capture technologies to at least pilot demonstration scale (TRL 7+). Activities include improving capture cost efficiency, material and process performance, manufacturing scalability, and flexible operation with renewable energy. Projects must also perform comprehensive life cycle assessments and are encouraged to use European Research Infrastructure ECCSEL and collaborate internationally. Eligible applicants must meet Horizon Europe conditions and exclude entities controlled by China.
Eligible applicants must comply with admissibility conditions including proposal page limits and layouts, and be from eligible countries as described in the Horizon Europe Work Programme. Entities controlled by China are excluded. Use of Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS data is required if satellite
