This funding opportunity supports projects focused on enhancing the circular economy of electric vehicle powertrains and charging infrastructure by minimizing environmental impact through durable design, predictive maintenance, refurbishment, and reuse. It also funds development of interoperable digital-twin based product passports and advanced data collection for tracking EV components, enabling better lifecycle management and business models aligned with EU sustainability regulations.
Eligible applicants must comply with Horizon Europe admissibility conditions including proposal format and eligible countries. Entities controlled by China are excluded. Projects using satellite data must use Copernicus or Galileo/EGNOS. Financial and operational capacity requirements apply.
