This opportunity funds projects that evaluate and forecast environmental impacts of waterborne transport on marine and aquatic ecosystems, particularly pollution from renewable low and zero-carbon fuels and accidental spills. It supports development and demonstration of innovative prevention, abatement, and mitigation strategies to protect European waters and achieve environmental targets such as the European Water Resilience Strategy and Ocean Pact.
