This opportunity funds projects to improve fully battery-electric operation of ferries, short sea shipping, offshore, and inland vessels. Focus areas include extending operational range to at least 150 nm, increasing peak propulsion power beyond 5 MW, enhancing battery charging cycles and durability, and optimizing vessel-port interfaces. Proposals must demonstrate innovative solutions, consider lifecycle and end-of-life battery management, and comply with regulatory requirements.
Applicants must comply with Horizon Europe general admissibility, eligibility, and evaluation conditions, including country eligibility and financial capacity. Entities controlled by China are ineligible. Use of Copernicus and Galileo/EGNOS data is required if applicable.
