This funding supports demonstration projects that develop novel or improved energy storage technologies integrated with retrofitting obsolete energy or industrial infrastructures. Projects should enhance energy system security, sustainability, circularity, and economic viability while achieving Technology Readiness Levels 6-8. Proposals must address environmental and socioeconomic impacts, stakeholder engagement, and follow secure-by-design principles. Participation in the BRIDGE initiative is expected.
Eligible applicants must comply with Horizon Europe admissibility conditions, including page limits and layout, and be from eligible countries as described in the Work Programme.
