This funding supports projects that develop and demonstrate advanced distribution management systems (ADMS) to improve electricity grid reliability, resilience, and efficiency. Funded activities include designing innovative architectures, software platforms, forecasting tools, and cybersecurity measures. Projects must involve multiple DSOs, universities, and technology suppliers, and demonstrate solutions in pilots across different EU or Associated countries. Emphasis is on interoperability with TSOs and DERs, use of AI, digital twins, and open-source software.
Eligible applicants must comply with Horizon Europe general conditions including page limits, layout, and country eligibility. Entities controlled by China are excluded. Projects must meet financial and operational capacity requirements and follow evaluation and award criteria as per Horizon Europe
