This grant funds the preparatory phase of new ESFRI research infrastructure projects from the 2026 ESFRI Roadmap. It supports consortia in resolving legal, financial, and technical issues, developing governance and financing frameworks, and securing commitments from Member States and Associated Countries. The goal is to establish new infrastructures that enhance the European Research Area's scientific capacity and ecosystem.
Eligible applicants include legal entities from EU Member States, Associated Countries, and certain non-associated third countries with specific provisions. Applicants must meet financial and operational capacity requirements and comply with Horizon Europe Work Programme conditions.
