This opportunity funds projects to develop innovative, safe, and sustainable Low Voltage Direct Current (LVDC) microgrids for urban contexts. Funded activities include designing LVDC microgrids, ensuring safety and control of DC faults, assessing lifecycle costs, and facilitating regulatory alignment. Projects must involve multiple European cities and contribute to energy efficiency, renewable integration, grid stability, and energy community development.
Eligible applicants must include at least three cities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries, with at least one city part of the EU Mission on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities.
