This program provides AUD $7.6 million over four years to the Cook Islands Government to strengthen bilateral ties with Australia. Funded activities must align with the 'Oa Tumanava Partnership's five pillars: people-to-people links, security cooperation, prosperity, regional and international cooperation, and institutional linkages. Grants are awarded annually with a twelve-month validity, supporting strategic regional development and cooperation.
Only the Cook Islands Government is eligible to apply as the official partner and governing authority. Other organizations are ineligible unless specifically invited, which is not the case here.
