The EUI offers four-year doctoral programmes in History and Civilization, Economics, Law, and Political and Social Sciences, emphasizing international and comparative studies. Finnish doctoral candidates supported by the Research Council of Finland can receive monthly grants and additional funding for research costs, including extra support for those with underage children. The programme fosters multidisciplinary research in an international setting.
Eligible applicants are Finnish doctoral candidates admitted to the EUI doctoral programmes and supported by the Research Council of Finland. The programme aims to secure 2–3 places for Finnish universities.
