This grant supports Colorado-based nonprofits and PK-12 schools to increase access to arts education for marginalized youth ages 4-21. Funded projects bring professional artists into schools, community centers, and other youth-accessible locations to lead programming in disciplines like theater, dance, music, visual arts, media arts, literary arts, folk and traditional arts, and interdisciplinary forms. Projects should last six weeks or more, focus on sustained learning, center youth identities, and include impact evaluation. No participant fees are allowed.
Eligible applicants are Colorado-based nonprofit organizations or PK-12 schools. Schools must partner with an artist or arts organization. Organizations must be registered in Colorado and have active Colorado-based staff engagement.
