This contest invites California K-12 students to submit original art and poetry focused on coastal or ocean themes. Winners in five grade categories receive gift certificates and Aquarium of the Pacific tickets. The contest encourages student engagement with environmental topics through creative expression. Entries must be original, not AI-enhanced, and meet size and media requirements. Submission deadline is January 28, 2027.
Open to California residents in grades K-12. Immediate family of Coastal Commission staff are ineligible. Entries must be individual work, not group projects.
