The Cech Fellows Program offers a paid nine-week summer research experience for rising college juniors and seniors in life sciences. Fellows conduct cutting-edge research at HHMI labs across the US, including Janelia, participate in professional development workshops, engage with a scientific community, and culminate their experience with a symposium. Funding includes stipends and housing at Janelia.
Open to rising juniors or seniors enrolled full-time at US accredited institutions, age 18+, in good academic standing, US citizens or legal residents, with no prior HHMI participation in 2025 or 2026, and available for full program duration.
