This program provides up to $8,400 annually for five years to support travel and research expenses for mathematicians in U.S. Ph.D.-granting departments. Funding aims to increase collaborative contacts and research impact for PIs, their graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Awards are based on research quality, publication record, and travel goals, excluding salary or teaching buyouts.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and a tenure-track or tenured position in a U.S. mathematics department with a Ph.D. program. They must have an active research record and no overlapping external PI/co-PI grants ending after the award start date. No citizenship restrictions.
