This fellowship offers 4 to 9 months of support for faculty conducting research in American Indian and Indigenous Studies. Fellows may reside continuously or intermittently at the Newberry or conduct research offsite using digital or other institutional collections. The stipend is $5,000 per month during the academic year (September to May). Preference is given to early career scholars at NCAIS institutions.
Eligible applicants are faculty members at NCAIS Member and Affiliate Institutions. Preference is given to early career scholars.
