This grant supports abandoned mine land reclamation, abandoned mine drainage operation, maintenance, and new treatment facilities, plus AMLER-related projects. Funding totals at least $44 million in Round 2 with reimbursement-based payments and a performance period up to three years. Applicants must have completed an Initial Project Consultation before applying and comply with Davis-Bacon and Build America, Buy America requirements. Applications are submitted via the Commonwealth's Electronic Single Application system.
Eligible applicants include counties, municipalities, county conservation districts, councils of government, municipal authorities, and incorporated nonprofits such as watershed associations and conservancies. Applicants must have completed an Initial Project Consultation before the round opened.
