This grant offers up to $5,000 in reimbursable funds to paraprofessionals employed by Georgia LEAs who are pursuing initial teacher certification through the GaTAPP program. Eligible candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, be enrolled in GaTAPP on or after January 1, 2023, hold a provisional certificate, and transition to a Teacher of Record position. The program supports professional growth and grow-your-own strategies within districts by offsetting certification costs.
Applicants must be paraprofessionals employed by Georgia LEAs, hold a bachelor's degree or higher, be enrolled in GaTAPP on or after January 1, 2023, hold a valid provisional certificate, and be accepted into a GaPSC approved GaTAPP program. Applications are submitted by district-level contacts.
