The 2027 Breakthrough Junior Challenge invites students aged 13 to 18 worldwide to create short videos (up to 3 minutes) that explain big scientific ideas in physics, mathematics, or life sciences. Videos can be any style—animation, documentary, or demonstration—and are judged on engagement, creativity, illumination, and difficulty. This challenge supports inventive communication of complex scientific concepts through dynamic visual storytelling.
Students aged 13 to 18 worldwide are eligible to participate. Entries must be individual submissions from students who can communicate scientific ideas through original videos.
