This award funds a semester-long Norwegian Lectureship at U.S. colleges and universities. It supports teaching and research in disciplines focused on Public Policy, Conflict Resolution, Environmental Studies, the Arctic, Multiculturalism, or Healthcare. The lecturer receives a $20,000 stipend plus $5,000 for travel to lecture outside the host institution.
Open to all U.S. colleges and universities. The lecturer must be a Norwegian citizen and a scholar or expert in a relevant field aligned with the host department's focus on contemporary Scandinavian studies.
