The KB Fellowship offers a five-month full-time opportunity for scholars and creative practitioners to explore the future of the public library and its role as a pillar of liberal democracy. Projects may address societal challenges, library field issues, or KB collections, with a preference for international or comparative perspectives. Fellows receive a stipend, office space, and research facilities, and participate in academic and outreach programs. The fellowship requires presence four days a week and engagement in seminars and community activities.
Open to scholars with at least three years post-PhD research experience and creative practitioners with at least three years of independent practice or equivalent experience. Applicants may have or lack institutional affiliation. Artists may apply using artistic production as research.
